Welcome to FerrDb

Dear users,
We are grateful for the time you have spent with FerrDb V2 and sincerely invite you to upgrade to FerrDb V3. Maintenance of this site has been discontinued. If you find any features in V2 that are important but not yet available in V3, please contact us via email at admin@zhounan.org, and we will do our best to incorporate them into V3.

FerrDb is the world's first database that dedicates to ferroptosis regulators and ferroptosis-disease associations. There are two secondary categories of ferroptosis regulators: (1) genes and (2) substances. Gene regulators include driver, suppressor, marker, and unclassified regulator. Substances cover a wide range of chemical entities, including pure substances (e.g., iron, erastin) and mixtures (e.g., herbal extracts). Substance regulators include inducers and inhibitors. On the basis of this philosophy, FerrDb consists of seven independent curated data sets.

Driver

Genes that promote ferroptosis.

Browse
Suppressor

Genes that prevent ferroptosis.

Browse
Marker

Genes that indicate the occurrence of ferroptosis.

Browse
Unclassified regulator

Genes whose role in ferroptosis is unclear.

Browse
Inducer

Substances (e.g. compounds, ions, herbal extracts) that can cause ferroptosis.

Browse
Inhibitor

Substances (e.g. compounds, ions, herbal extracts) that can restrict ferroptosis.

Browse
Ferroptosis-disease association

Associations between ferroptosis and disease.
