Thanks for using FerrDb.
FerrDb is an open-source, open access, manually curated and continuously updated database. FerrDb is made available thanks to researchers who keep bringing us knowledge in this field. Standing on the shoulder of numerous hard-working researchers, FerrDb returns the community by providing free access to all data in the database for educational and scientific research purposes.

Earlier update
In March 2022, a study by Tsvetkov et al. proposed the concept of a new form of programmed cell death, cuproptosis, which is induced by copper. We carefully read the Science paper entitled Copper induces cell death by targeting lipoylated TCA cycle proteins and extracted cuproptosis regulators, i.e., genes and substances.
In February 2023, Liu et al. confirmed that high SLC7A11 expression combined with glucose starvation would induce a hitherto unrecognized form of regulated cell death that results from disulfide stress and is not associated with ATP depletion or the formation of cystine crystals. They coined the term disulfidptosis to describe this type of cell death. We read the Nature Cell Biology article entitled Actin cytoskeleton vulnerability to disulfide stress mediates disulfidptosis and extracted the regulators of disulfidptosis.
Here the data of these novel cell death forms are provided for easy download and use. Please be aware that the data is not in its final form and new changes may apply without further notification.
